skid steer grader blade attachment

Our Grader Blade attachment can turn your skid steer into a high-performance grading .

He had a skid steer never had any problem with the steep driveway but he sold the skid steer. He bought the tractor afterwards its smaller and doesn't leave marks on the concrete also he missed having something to move stuff around with. But he did have to add weight to the tractor to keep it on all 4 wheels way more tippy than the skid steer.

When grading yards, I take both a track skid and grading tractor with box blade/roller combo. I do the production work with the skid and then put the icing on the cake with the box/roller combo..nothing beats the production of a skid and then again, the finish of a box/roller combo for final clean up and dressing sells the finished product.. Used it now for about 10 years and it is quite handy and works far better for grading dirt and road base than a plain old box blade. I also use a land plane and it is awesome. If you have a wide open area a skid/land plane works well. If it is a small yard or confined area the best combo I have found and used is a mini skid with land plane.

I also seem to think grading went better when the bucket had weight in it. i'd like to know if you guys who grade for a living use a skid steer grading bucket or a dirt bucket and is there a big difference in the 2? i guess i figured a bucket is a bucket? I like the short back extended lip buckets. Seeing the cutting edge is easy and they grade . Visibility is terrible to the left side where the hoses are routed. I constantly found myself leaning forward to try watch the left cutting edge corner. I also found better control if I tilted back the loader function to allow the skid pads to float the blade. I also controlled the cut by rolling the blade back onto the skid pads. I have a road runner. It does a good job. ABout 1/3 cost of skid steer grader and much more durable. Easy to handle. Would work best with CTL or behind a large tractor. If you get the option, get the hydraulic screw jack versus manual. We use a dozer for leveling and grading, you can use a skid steer. Then we power rake (Harley rake) the area. Add screened topsoil were needed after the first power rake so the stones are gone. Some times we use unscreened topsoil from my stockpile we keep from other jobs. Then after the topsoil is added in areas as needed we usually rake again.

I have 6 way dozer blade built very heavy, it is a Grouser blade. I use it a lot backfilling tile drainage trenches.I backfill several thousand feet ,so i like because it very productive for that. I have a Deere 332 CTL track machine i'm using.I had a 10' angle blade to start with ,but traded it in on an 8ft 6 way blade. I just worked some really packed roads this week. It worked really well. Make sure you have the scraper adjusted right but a box blade is about the best think for this job. I like to go over it with a box blade first and then a landscape rake to make it look nice and pretty. My box blade is made by frontier (john deere). Hope that helps and . The Bobcat grading box wheels rasing on the front is an issue i have. The box won't cut in hard ground and the wheels just rases each time the laser tells it to cut.Okay for loose dirt and gravel, but doesn't like to cut.
