Problem often originated by moving machine without releasing red brake button. Resolution often requires removal/repair of cylinders and adjustment of brake pucks which is similar to old hand pull style .Page 51 If a customer complains about excessive engine oil – Muffler failure (cracks, misalignment). consumption on the Model LS160 or LS170 skid steer, the following steps must be taken. you'll have to adjust the levers that attach to the brake shafts that come out chain cases. loosen the 1/4 bolt on the lever and slide it off and turn the brake shaft the direction the brake lever is applied. the brake shaft is splined. lift up the seat to do it. its tight but can be done.
