Hello all. I have recently bought a 40 plus year old hydrostatic skid steer for projects around 8 acres of property. Its rough to look at but is functional. Parts are non existent, but major components are still available. Im just trying to learn enough .
Dozer (sold), Yanmar SV40 excavator, Skid steer (sold), Laser Dozer, Rotary trail cutter, 13 HP debris blower, 6X4 Gator. Giant G2700HD+ wheel loader, Yanmar C30R tracked dumper. I use Chevron Delo 15w/40 in all my diesel engines, and change oil by analysis, except for the truck which has 10,000 mile O&F interval. A user asks for help with a Mustang 2054 skid steer that won't start or run for long. Other users suggest possible causes and solutions, such as fuel filter, proximity switch, interlock switch, and electrical connection. I just bought a 920 mustang skid steer. the t handle is for the drive, forward is forward back is back, turn the t handle it turns, like a steering wheel. left pedal is for arm and right is for bucket. I would change the engine oil at least, clean out the fuel system (fresh diesel). put a new battery in it and see what happens. I purchased a mustang 940 skid steer bobcat, I need to remove engine to replace rings cant seem to see that the engine separates from the hydraulic pump, any information on how to remove the yanmar 4 cylinder motor would be .
