FYI: I have a 72 CL 40 and agree with used red. Mine is a v4 104 ci. Ford. The weak point on the machined is definitely the axles. Treat them with kit gloves. I've had 1 break twice (1st time had it repaired) and felt very lucky to find a replacement. Do not spin like a top and avoid turning on hard surfaces when ever possible.
Does anyone know where a guy can find parts for a Ford Skidsteer CL30 or CL40 and what is the difference in the two. I need some parts for the 40 model (800) 853-2651 hi new to the forum. saw the cl40 and i to have one. pulled the v4 out and put a 3 cyl mit diesel in its place. then i had a huge problem. the input shaft broke off at the face of the pump. of corse the pumps are obsolete so i am looking for a pump shaft for a ta1515v vickers pump. i have tracked down the part number for the part 397737. any help out there? thanks I am looking for a used carburetor for a 1984 Ford CL40 skid steer with a 140 cu in V4 ford engine. hello. it is definately a ford engine. 104ci v4 it uses pinto ignition parts it has a ford chargeing system it uses the same starter as a mercury capri.the gauges are setup like old ford trucks with the voltage regulator that steps down the voltage for the gauges. and like i said i had too do a lot of surfing to find an engine. isnt the internet a great thing. sorry its gone. it will .
