To load Proboxes over the side of my gravity wagon, I hang 6 suitcase weights on the back corners with come-alongs. The 6640 are very nice machines, and I really like the the Gehl t-bar controls. I have a 6635 now and plan to upgrade to a 6640 2-speed before next season. I priced a new one last week and almost had a heart attack! Couple of questions regarding the Gehl 5640 with the 80hp Deutz with turbo. What would make it hunt/pulsate at idle until it warms? Have a rpm range.say 1000 to 1500 rpm, where it vibrates the cab pretty good. I have a gehl 5640 with a duetz oil cooled engine with about 3200 hours and have had nothing major go wrong. I have always had gehl so am used to their controls and haven't got used to any others. I feel the duetz engine gets better fuel economy than my newer 5640 that has a different engine.
