Well I found a 1996 940e with 3000 hours on it that comes with a smooth edge and toothed bucket, 7' Myers hydraulic plow, wheel chains and cab enclousure for 00.00. Needs tires and the heater fan is not working. Both simple fixes. I pick it up this friday. Anybody know if 12" wide tires will fit on this machine. The stock ones are 10".

Pulled the precharge pump,hydraulic shop says it is ok. There is a vickers hydraulic body bolted under the operators seat, with heat probe, couple of relief valves and a solenoid with two red wires. I have a 1997 mustang 2060 skid steer the machine was recslled for a steering linkage. The recall ended in 1999 I never had a problem intill now. I have a 2060 skidsteer 1996 model 225 hrs. when you start the machine it will begin to move foward at a slow speed unless you lay your leg against the right control applying a slight back pressure. When you bring the engine to an idle the machine will start a left turn in reverse usually. Mustang has been around since 1965, second skid steer mfg after Bobcat, I had a 1996 2040 very reliable machine really quiet ,now I have a 2109 so far very good lots of power cab is very spacious ,all in all I'm happy with Mustang . The seat and seatbelt switches were bypassed when i bought the machine so that has also been eliminated.I replaced the charge pressure switch. The safety lock system was not in place on my 940 in 1991 but my 1996 1040 does. In a older machine, if you lost all hydralics with out a lock out system it might be coupler between engine and pumps. I assume the engine is running still.If the pumps are working you would get some sort reaction with one of the controls I would think.Go with the .
