The parking brake will only release until I move the left joystick to try and drive. I can move the boom in any function and its fine, but as soon as the track moves it kicks it back in to park and then the light won't turn off again.
I've pulled the plug to the parking break solenoid and it's not getting voltage to it when the button is pressed. When voltage gets sent to the solenoid it shifts out of park. I'm imagining whatever code it's throwing is telling it not to shift out of park. I believe it is either the switch, the park brake solenoid, or the harness (no sign of damage to the harness). I removed the park brake solenoid and the resistance reads 7.3 ohms (don't know if that is within spec or not).The right and left side 262-3764 Speed Sensor Groups can fail on C-Series Skid Steer Loaders and C-Series Multi terrain Loader. If the speed sensor that is located on the left side fails, the sensor will generate a 2685 or 2686 fault code.Cat skid steer 287C. On the center of the brake cover, there would be a plug, through which a puller bolt could be installed to compress the spring, & release the brake. They ran a test that indicated that it was slowly failing (BRAKE TEST FAILED - 28 PSI SHOULD BE READING 0 PSI). They said at some point, the parking brake will not release. They quoted me 5 to replace the parking brake solenoid and manifold.The parking brake solenoid has no diagnostics for checking for faults in the system. The solenoid will NOT be energized when there is an open circuit or a short to ground. If the parking brake solenoid is shorted to the +battery the solenoid will be ON all the time. Test Step 1. CHECK FOR HYDROSTATIC OPERATION. Occupy the seat. Lower the armrest.
When starting the machine, turning the key on all lights light up then when functioning normally parking light stay on and switch functions after starting.
