Does anyone have any idea what it could be? #1. I would check for air leaks in the supply and return fuel lines. It sounds like the fuel is bleeding off when it is not running, letting air into the system. A line can allow air in but not fuel out. So if the lines are rubber and have dry cracks in them replace them.
