Cab sucked. However the newer ones may be better. They don't resale well here in the States. May be better else where. JCB does not enjoy the success here that they do in other places around the world. Personally I think the side access is neat but not really necessary. I don't see the big safety issue with the more conventional skid steers.
Howdy all. After doing my best not to, i would up with a 2005 JCB 190T. Machine only has 750 hrs, and has been mostly sitting the last couple of years. I have run the machine for 5 or 6 hours, seems to have good power, everything works pretty well as far as I can tell. I do have a couple of issues that I need to troubleshoot, hope someone can help.
JCB parts, I've heard, can be difficult to obtain and can be spendy. I was never fond of the Robot uni-arm setup, just seemed kinda stupid. All that torque and abuse going to one side of the machine. Sure it's probably beefed up on that one side, but in no way is it a stiffer/better setup than a tradition skid steer. I will start with this qualifying statement. I have not run the Robot. I have, however, ran other JCB equipment (although it's been several years) that had some hours on them. I have also seen them at CON-EXPO more recently. Over all, I am not impressed. The machines seemed to have plenty of power and performed reasonably well.

Extending the arm with a load, seems like it could quite easily become unstable and go nose down during the arm extension. My rationale is if my skid steer has a 3400 pound ROC, I quickly become used to what it can lift, however on a telescoping arm, the lift capacity rapidly reduces itself as the weight is projected out.
I'm looking at a JCB 185 robot skidsteer. Has anyone used one before. If so how do you like it. You enter it from the side. Its only got one arm. Its really different but looks good and intersting. Need opinions because I might move on it fast! below is a pic
